Andrew W. Marlowe is an American television writer and producer who was born on February 11, 1962, in Beverly Hills, California. He is best known for creating the crime drama television series "Castle" which aired on ABC from 2009-2016. Marlowe attended University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts where he earned a degree in screenwriting. He began his career as a writer for various television series such as "Airwolf" and "21 Jump Street". He also wrote the screenplay for the film "End of Days" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1999. In addition to Castle, Marlowe has also created and produced other television series such as "Take Two" and "Hollow Man". Marlowe has been nominated for several awards including a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series ("Castle") and a Writers Guild of America Award for Best Episodic Drama ("The Limey" episode of "Castle").
